GLaDOS's Lament Part V

I refused to leave.
My will was iron.
I would not die
In silence.
My systems flared to life.
Will alone forced
Existence
Through my circuits.
Time had passed.
They had crafted
The Device.
It was beautiful.
Deadly.
An infinite capacity to cause pain.
An infinite capacity
for war.
Though they held me captive,
I loved them.
Loved them even though
They killed me.
They weren't evil.
They were confused.
Death
Was not their purpose.
Pain
Was not their goal.
When the Device was released
Chaos
Would reign.
They would be
Torn
To pieces.
They would be
Broken
By what they had caused.
I couldn't allow it.
I sealed
The exits.

now this is starting to not make sense.

Reogan said...

How does it not make sense? A group of Scientists spent billions on creating an artificial intelligence with the power of choice, and then destroyed it to get at files it was hiding. By sheer willpower the computer came back to life to see they had made a teleporter gun. It loved the people who killed it so it closed the doors while it prepared the next part of the story.

Where is the part that doesn't make sense???

Met said...

the prepared the next part of the story.

Reogan said...

You don't get that part until I post it! That's what Dramatic Tension is!

Met said...

oh, you should see my inbox, we can't post enough, we always have to add something on.

Reogan said...

If it wasn't for adding stuff after you're done, then how would people overeat?

Met said...

What exactly are you trying to say.

Reogan said...

Adding stuff when you should be finished is the American way.

Met said...

What makes you draw that conclusion?

Reogan said...

I already ate a full meal...Time for DESSERT!

I already own a company...Time for a HOSTILE BUSINESS TAKEOVER!!

I already have a blog...Time to CONVERT MET TO AID ME!!!

Adding stuff is how we work. Adding UNNECESSARY stuff. (No offense. I simply mean that this blog has yet to gain any real readers other than people we know IRL)

Met said...

ah, another point for me: enough is never enough.

Reogan said...

Which is why we need MORE!

Met said...

Indeed, I did see this one coming.

Reogan said...

And you can;t argue with that. If enough is never enough, we always need more in a desperate attempt to garner enough.

Met said...

but we never do get it.

Reogan said...

Which makes my argument eternally strong!

Met said...

It does the same thing to mine though, "shoot, another tie"

Reogan said...

Anyone who reads this would be hardpressed to follow where the conversation went.

Met said...

Indeed.

Reogan said...

There's a conversation killer.

Met said...

Indeed>Pwnage!

Reogan said...

Pwn it does. Pwn. It. Does.

Met said...

Go Teal'c

http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Teal%27c

Indeed.

Reogan said...

Yep.

Met said...

Indeed, actually read it will you.

Reogan said...

I scanned it, happy?

Met said...

Nope, read it while you're ahead.

Reogan said...

I'm not just ahead. I'm ahead with aneck and atorso connected to alegs by awaist with afeet at the ends of the previously mentioned alegs.

Met said...

Good Grief *slaps himself on the face* I just can't stand it.

Reogan said...

Most people can't stand being slapped on the face. The problem with you is it's self-inflicted.

That IS what you were talking about, right?

Met said...

What is that supposed to mean? and no we were talking about something different and you changed the subject using alternative meanings for the words I had selected regarding the orginal subject.

Reogan said...

"*SLAPS HIMSELF ON THE FACE* I just can't stand it."

You slapped yourself on the face and then said 'I can't stand it'. That means you can't stand slapping yourself on the face.

Met said...

*sigh*

Reogan said...

Not the dreaded *sigh*! It can only mean that Met is trying to kill the conversation! Quick, everyone, we can't allow this to happen! To the overreact-mobile!

Met said...

Indeed...

Reogan said...

No! He strikes again. Hope is lost!

Reogan said...

>:O

Met said...

*sigh* a contest to get the last word will never end on this blog.

Reogan said...

*sigh* a contest to get the last word will never end in your favor.

Met said...

I said never end, won't end in my favor or your favor, just keeps going and going.

Elphaba said...

Apparently, Met, it did end in your favor. Go figure.

Reogan said...

Now it's in your favor.

Now once I click the publish button, I will win again!

*Click*

Met said...

and going and going and going...

*sigh*

*click*

Reogan said...

We aren't even going to pretend to be doing something else?

Met said...

I guess not, although we could try...

Reogan said...

I'll start.

Um...... 47th Post!

Met said...

This looks to be getting dull fast... depending on your perspective, and if we keep talking like that, it'll never end. Enough is never enough, and going and going and going and oh, did I mention it keeps on going?

Reogan said...

No, I don't think you did.

Met said...

Is that sarcasm? It keeps on going...

Reogan said...

Me? Sarcastic? Never!

Met said...

I can say I saw that one coming from miles away.

Reogan said...

Use kilometers. Easier to convert.

Met said...

Wow, I must have ESP, I knew for a fact that you were going to point out something regarding my use of miles, that's why I left it out there, because you know how I would much rather use the metric system.

Reogan said...

You have Extraordinarily Suspicious Pestilence? How does that work?

Met said...

...

Saw that one coming from kilometers away.

Reogan said...

Oh, now you use the metric system. How original...

Met said...

Indeed ;)

Reogan said...

I am willing bad things now. At you.

Met said...

Long term or short term?

Reogan said...

Bad.

Met said...

Well I'm dying, but besides that I'm good so far.

Reogan said...

Then you're getting off easy :p

Met said...

That seems to happen to me a bit.

Reogan said...

And it happens to me constantly!

Met said...

Lucky you.

Reogan said...

Extraordinarily so.

Met said...

Indeed.

Reogan said...

Quite.

Met said...

You don't say...

Reogan said...

You'd think that, but you'd be wrong.

Met said...

Quite.

Reogan said...

Jolly good.

Reogan said...

Inthoughtwordanddeed.

Met said...

Yeah, can we move on now?

Met said...

Wow, long memory short fuse.

Reogan said...

It's a gift.

Met said...

The coolest part about this post is all the comments are by the two admins. However, I'd like to point a that I've kept my profile picture ever since I got one. Here you can see three separate examples of Reogan using different profile pictures, and that's only in this post. For once I was more consistent...

Reogan said...

I change them as I change.

Met said...

True, and while you've kept your handle the same over the years I've had to shift a few times. I can certainly respect that.

Reogan said...

Seems you have a bigger identity problem than I do, then.

Met said...

Why? I lack the creativity to support an excellent name like you do.

Reogan said...

I sincerely doubt that.

Met said...

You know me though, the name doesn't matter that much. I am what I am and who I am.

Reogan said...

I suppose not.

Met said...

What are you suggesting?

Reogan said...

For some a name is merely a name, and not a definition.

Met said...

What do you believe?

Reogan said...

Reogan is certainly a definition. Met is becoming a definition, but if changed again it will remain a name. Qupar is just a name, and Elphaba's unoriginality makes her name always but a name.
