Jimmy was a cute kid. Jimmy was very smart and could read at a very early age. Jimmy was raised by very smart parents. Jimmy killed his parents. He didn't know any better. He killed a babysitter, too. The police said "We did not want to take Jimmy out of his home, so he is taken care of from a safe distance. He never learned how to survive anywhere else but inside his own home. So that is where he will stay."
Now think about Tilly the whale...

Totally different things.
No, Tilly the whale doesn't really deserve to be in a public area, even after the first killing. Then there was a second, and they still kept him, and now a third.
The whale has a killing instinct, yes, but legally it's a much safer course of action to keep it. The creature can't survive on its own, and PETE would burn down the ocean or something if they let it go. Seriously.
You do know that (if you're going for People for the Equal Treatment of Animals) that it's PETA? Just letting you know. Not trying to be mean.
Argh! My desktop's keyboard misinterprets every command. I vow to henceforth use only my laptop.
Also, I wrote that in the throes of delirium.
When are you NOT in the throes of delirium?
When I'm not ill. Then I'm just delusional.
Okay, I'll give you that one.
Victory!
Only because I don't want to get into a huge blogfight where you use your special brand of twisted logic.
Twisted meaning enlightened, of course.
In your special world, sure.
By which you mean reality.
Twisted reality.
Which is the only kind.
According to you.
Which means I'm right, as I define reality.
No, you wish that you defined reality.
And that's where you're wrong.
No, I'm not!
You're also wrong there.
Ugh, I'm not gonna go any farther down this road.
You might be right there.
